Mandatory drug tests for all welfare recipients who are able-bodied! Governor Scott Walker asked the president-elect to give his state more authority in determining how many refugees can come from countries with ties to terrorism. But that is not all, he also asked for more authority in requiring drug testing of normal and healthy adults on food stamps, and increasing premiums for some on Medicaid.
“The federal government was originally created to be a small, central government of limited powers, with everything else left to the states,” Walker wrote. “Through years of federal overreach, this model has been turned on its head, and now is the time to right the ship.”
There’s a growing culture within American society that apparently believes that government should be financially responsible for the well-being of individuals receiving government entitlements, even if they’re willfully irresponsible.
In North Carolina and few other states, welfare applicants are required to take a drug screening test, in order to qualify for recipients of this benefit. Particularly in North Carolina the results was eye-opening, in that precisely 21 out of 89 individuals tested positively for drugs and will no longer receive benefits. Check out this video to find out more about this matter! Do you agree that drug tests should be mandatory for this group of residents?
